The rest of the scene unfolded so quickly – Blaine watched as Claire sent a few more curses at Blackwell before rushing to Sirius, kneeling down beside him after putting up protection spells around Sirius and Juliette and herself. Seeing those protections go up was a relief to him as he was not sure how long he would have been able to keep his barrier up around Juliette – and only seconds later the pain became too much again and he found himself forced to slide back down the wall to a sitting position before his body collapsed again.
However, he never took his eyes off the situation at hand – he watched as Claire said an incantation over and over and the wounds on Sirius began to heal – it was the first time he had ever seen it and he made a mental note to one day learn it from her if he ever got the chance. As this all happened, he watched out of the corner of his eye – the other aurors trying desperately to keep his father far away from everything down by them.
Then Claire was leaving Sirius once the blood stopped pouring out – and she sent a dangerously strong attack at Blackwell that sent him across the long hall and she quickly told the other aurors to get themselves and him out of there before anything else could happen – then he watch as she quickly scooped up Juliette, had Sirius hovering above the ground, grabbing his shoulder and they disappeared. Juliette was safe – and she and Sirius would both be at the hospital in seconds and a second wave of relief washed over him, though it only lasted a brief moment.
Survival instincts kicked in as he heard a roar of anger erupt from his father at the other end of the room – whether he had lost consciousness for a few seconds or whether it was an injury that had kept him on the other side of the room long enough for Claire to get Juliette and Sirius out, he didn’t know. What he did know is that his father was going to lose his head and then some for watching them get away – and especially at him, for being a traitor, for taking out all his guards, for helping to save Juliette.
Within seconds, he heard his father use the cruciatus curse on the remaining aurors and then tell them to inform their superiors that Blaine would not be returning with them – and then he stunned them all, knocking them out before heading over to Blaine. At this point, Blaine was extremely weak – the healing spells Claire had used had only been meant to hold him for so long and slowly he could feel the effects wearing off. He raised his wand anyway – knowing he wouldn’t be able to do much to defend himself from where he was on the ground.
Before his father had bothered to cast a curse, Blaine shot off a couple of hexes – and a couple of darker curses he had learned from his father over the years – but Cato blocked all but one. When it made contact a new cut formed across his arm, not quite what Blaine had been hoping for – but before he could get another shot in, the intense pain of the cruciatus curse took over, he dropped his wand, the pain from the curse, on top of the pain he was already in, finally became too much and he fell unconscious before Blackwell finished the curse.
When he finally woke up, he had no idea how much time had passed – it could have been hours or it could have been days. He awoke to a room that was very dimly lit, it was like a smaller version of the underground concrete rooms in the home he had found Juliette in – except he was in a bed, well, chained to a bed by the ankle on his uninjured leg. Blaine rubbed his head, the pounding had mostly subsided and the cut there was partially healed. Then he tried to sit up – the gash on his side and the broken ribs from the fight had been mended some, but movement was still stiff and difficult. Blackwell or another one of the Nex had used another healing spell on him.
Looking himself over as best he could, he came to notice that his leg had been splinted, a wooden splint and bandages as he had seen so many times in his younger years of training under his father’s direction. There were bandages around his rib cage that felt nearly too tight – all the pain in his chest made it somewhat hard to breathe. He had scrapes and cuts and bruises all over, he had a feeling he wouldn’t want to take a look in a mirror for a while.
On top of it all, he was certain he had been out of it for at least a day and a half – there had been less than three days left until the full moon when he had gone after Juliette – he had already been weak and sick for days as his body prepared for the painful transformation – and now he felt far worse, and it wasn’t only all the injuries. He felt a combination of nauseous, pained and more tired than he thought possible. It was definitely the day of the full moon now – probably several hours away still, but he knew this feeling well after the last five years.
Blaine’s eyes scanned the room for his wand – it had to be here somewhere. Once he could get his hands on his wand, he could work on getting that chain off his ankle and making a plan to get the hell out of there. Finally, he saw his wand, sitting on top of a trunk clear across the room. “Of, fucking, course…” he muttered and closed his eyes. He had only managed two spells with wandless magic before and neither were a summoning spell, but he had to try.
After what felt like ages of concentration, holding his palm open to catch the wand should it work, he finally heard it roll on the trunk and a second later it was zooming across the room and into his hands. Now, the first order of business was to get himself unchained, but just as he finally found the right charm to unlock the chains, he heard footsteps stop in front of the entrance and he heard – and saw out of the corner of his eye – the door knob turning and all Blaine could do was desperately hope that it was a Nex member and not his father entering the room…

He had waited a long time for the end of the Potter family. They were the one things constantly messing up his plans. He had planned everything perfectly. He baited Sirius into his trap. He had Potters daughter and his son weakened so they wouldn’t be able to move, or so he thought. It didn’t help that his own son had betrayed him. He thought he could get Blaine to see things his way again, that didn’t happen. Instead he tried being the hero and saving everyone. After everything Cato had done for the boy, taking care of him and such. This was how he repaid him. He had left Blaine alone in a dark room, bloody and broken. He wanted him to be in there by himself for a good while. He wanted him to know who still called the shots around the house, and that he should never try to run away again. He needed to harden Blaine’s heart again. What if he threatened Juliette and his unborn children. Granted they were his grandchildren but Blaine wouldn’t know if he did kill them or not. All he had to do was say he did. He could even tell him that Juliette didn’t make it, but he wanted Blaine at school. He wanted him to spy for him and to get Potters every move. He needed Blaine to be his chess piece. After leaving him there for a few days he finally decided to go pay his son a visit. He turned the handle to go into the room. Once in there he looked at Blaine and a small smile came across his face. Hello son. Miss me he said. Tagged: Blaine Landon KoonNotes: Finally lol

Waking up in a dim and dank room like this one never changed, it was always painful, bleak and depressing. This time, it was more pressing because he needed to get out of here. He took inventory of his injuries that were still in the process of healing and looked around for his wand – becoming frustrated when he realized it was well out of reach.
It took a while, but eventually he managed to summon his wand to him and he went through a series of counter charms attempting to free himself from the chains holding him to the old steel frame bed. Blaine had only just managed to unlock the chains around his ankle when he heard footsteps outside and noticed the handle on the door starting to turn – so he gripped his wand tightly, anticipating the worst while hoping for the best.
That hope was destroyed however, and the nauseous feeling in the pit of his stomach swelled as he came face to face with his father as the door opened.
At one time, he had truly believed the man standing before him was his dad – and at one point he had looked up to him, wanted to be as strong as him, wanted to impress him – even through getting beaten for not reaching milestones when it was expected of him. His view had only started to shift once he had been locked alone in a room with that Greyback guy, with no way to escape, nowhere to hide – it had been on purpose, he wanted him to be mauled and bitten by that werewolf. He wanted him to be even more dangerous.
Nearly six years had passed since then and it was amazing just how different his take on things was now compared to back then. Now he hated the man that stood before him, was disgusted by his actions, the things he had done to him personally, and to others. Blaine still wasn’t sure what exactly was right and wrong in this world, and he didn’t have a clue how he was supposed to live as a wanted criminal, a member of the Nex, when he found his way out of this hell hole again.
All he knew was he needed to get away. As far away from the deceitful, arrogant piece of shit that calls himself his father as he could possibly get. But first, he had to figure out how to escape and get somewhere safe before the full moon starts to rise – otherwise he would be stuck here for days waiting to get over the illness and injuries before he would be able to attempt fighting anyone to make his escape.
“Hello son. Miss me?” he said.
Blaine didn’t have his wand pointed directly at Cato, but instead had his hands firmly on either side of him on the bed, his wand gripped tightly in his right hand and pointed near his fathers’ legs. The look on his face wasn’t the illness or exhaustion he was feeling, or the fear Blackwell might have hoped for, but rather a look of fury and hate. Blaine’s green eyes met Cato's blue with a fierce and piecing glare, a new hatred born in him after seeing Juliette, the one person in the world to appear to care about him, be hurt by his fathers’ hand. “Not for a second,” Blaine responded coldly, his glare never shifting, his hand still gripped tightly on his wand, ready to defend or attack at a moments notice.

Cato wished that Blaine didn’t ignore and work against him. Yes, sometimes kids had their rebellious stage and he overlooked of some of Blaine’s behavior but enough was enough and he couldn't overlook them anymore. He had taken the boy in and raised him as his own. He had tried to teach Blaine how to be strong and not show any weaknesses to someone who could take advantage of it, someone like the Potter family. He needed to understand who the real enemy here was, and he needed to learn that Cato had his best interest at heart. He wanted everything for the boy. Blaine was his son; he was the boy that he raised, and no one was going to take him from him. Cato kept what was his no matter how he had to do it. When he stepped into the room and looked at Blaine his heart ached. Not because his son had been chained to the bed or was hurt, no that was his doing. What made his heart ache was the fact that Blaine let himself be poisoned by the Potters. That girl, Juliette, was messing with his son’s mind, making him see things wrong, and making Blaine think that he was the bad guy in all of this. He would fix that though. He would break his son all over again and get his mind back to the way it should be. He sighed shaking his head when his son said he hadn’t missed him. He noticed the wand in the boys’ hand and grinned. I see you still haven’t lost your touch. Good. Thought that damn potter girl made you soft for a moment there he said as he stretched then leaned against the wall after closing the door behind him. Now that the pretty brunette is gone, we can fix you. You will have to do something different though and stay away from Potter’s daughter. She is a red flag that one he said.
